I Don't Mean To Get Off on a Rant. . .

I DO NOT want the gov't shut down. The thought of the men and women in harm's way having an interruption in their pay is abominable.*
So is cutting the funding for Planned Parenthood. It's NOT about abortion. It's about a woman's access to vital, low-cost health care.
One in five woman in the US who has received care at a Planned Parenthood. I'm one of them and I'm standing up and telling the leaders of this country, regardless of the party, that letting a few insane zealots shut down the government--or cut off funding for PP is NOT acceptable.

The federal government will shut down because extremists in Congress are pursuing a vendetta against Planned Parenthood. It's not about the budget — it's about trying to destroy an organization that provides birth control, HIV testing, and cancer screenings. It's time to stand up and call these extremists out. *For the record: I know many folks personally who will be impacted by this FAILBOAT by the government. I'm not trying to discount anyone's loss of a paycheck. I've lived through those furloughs as a kid and they ain't easy or fun.
