In case you haven't heard, Amazon, in a fight with Macmillan, decided to pull all Macmillan books-- and their imprints-- from its shelves this weekend. You can read more about it over here.
As a result, I've decided to part company with Amazon and told them so.
We are working with the publisher to make their titles available as soon as possible and at the lowest possible prices for our customers. We will e-mail you when these titles are available, which we hope will be soon.
I've already closed my account. I don't care they are tussling with Macmillan over who is going to earn more money from the books sold (although selfishly I'd like to see the publishing house get it, in the hopes it will end up in the pockets of my friends).
I don't want to do business with a company that uses my dollars as a club against another company. Amazon can bully the publishing world without me.
